We have created a regulatory environment for Web3

and emerging technology companies

at the heart of the Catawba Indian Nation

The Zone Authority governs the Catawba Digital Economic Zone (CDEZ). We serve as stewards of innovation and champions of a global community of entrepreneurs. Our main focus is formulating and enforcing regulations to create an environment for digital visionaries and innovators. Grounded in tribal sovereignty, as a government, we provide the legal clarity that the web3, Fintech and emerging technologies industries desperately needed.

Regulatory Environment

The CDEZ has a legal framework and commercial code that won’t slow you down.
It is built experts and builders, not special interests. CDEZ regulations are modeled off best practices from around the world with a focus on enabling innovation, not forbidding it.
A regulatory sandbox protected by the high walls of U.S. treaty obligations.

Zone Authority

Governance

The Catawba Digital Economic Zone is governed by a Zone Authority formed by the Catawba citizens. The Zone Authority is the entity in charge of creating and enforcing regulations within the CDEZ. The regulations apply to companies domiciled virtually and/or physically within the CDEZ.

Who should incorporate in the CDEZ?

The CDEZ's commercial code is suitable to any industry. We have, however, specialized in an industry that needs a clear regulator the most: digital assets.

Digital assets

founders

Remote & distributed teams

Digital nomads
